#14 Meeker History & Town Ride
This ride will be relaxing and educational. Visit several historic rural school houses and enjoy beautiful overlooks of the White River Valley. The majority of this ride will be on paved Country roads with a small section of gravel road. Riders will stop at the Historic Meeker Cafe for lunch with an optional walking tour of the historic downtown.
NOTE: Rio Blanco County OHV Speed Limit is a maximum of 35, unless posted at a lower speed. If the county road does not have posted speed limit, then the maximum speed limit is 25. Be sure to bring plenty of gas, rain gear, warm clothing, bug repellent, sun screen, lunch, and non alcoholic drink, plus other important personal items. Guides will lead the following trips. Signup is limited to ten OHVs per guided group. Each ride may have multiple groups. Mileages listed are very approximate. Safety flags on each OHV are recommended for visibility. When accessing County Road 8 east of Meeker by State Highway 13, be sure to keep OHV travel on the road shoulder, south side of the orange traffic cones.
