Colorow Scenic Ride

Approximately 35 mile ride from the parking location

DESCRIPTION:  You must trailer OHVs to the starting point that is 20 miles from Meeker, requiring about 30 minutes travel time. This ride climbs in elevation to 8,200 feet with a great overlook of Strawberry Creek from the top of Gray Hill. Ride along the ridge line and enjoy Meeker's beautiful high country.

LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE: EASY to MODERATE - with some well traveled dirt roads. As you climb in elevation you will experience many gulches and some rocky terrain.

ROUTE:

• Start and finish at the Colorow Mountain Parking Lot at the corrals on County Road 142.

• To get to the Starting Point, take Hwy 13 and merge right onto Hwy 64 towards Rangely. Travel 17 miles to County Road 142 and turn right. The corrals will be approximately 1 mile down the dirt road on the right.
